Frequently Asked Questions
Everything people usually ask before their first download.
General
Do I need an account to download?
No. Every listing is public and every mirror is reachable without signing up, logging in or installing a downloader.
Are the downloads free?
Yes. Everything indexed here is distributed free by its developer or by the community. If a game has a paid tier, the support links on its page point straight at the developer.
How often is the catalog updated?
New entries and version bumps land continuously. Sort any list by "Recently updated" to see what moved most recently.
Where are the files actually hosted?
Not here. Each entry links out to third-party file hosts. This site stores metadata, screenshots and links — nothing else.
PC
How do I install a Windows build?
Extract the archive anywhere and run the executable. Most builds are portable and need no installer. Keep the folder intact — saves usually live next to the executable.
Windows flagged the download. Is it safe?
Unsigned indie executables routinely trip SmartScreen because they lack a code-signing certificate, not because they are malicious. Scan anything you are unsure about and report it if something looks wrong.
Do my saves survive an update?
Usually. Engines like Ren’Py and RPG Maker keep saves outside the game folder. Read the changelog first — some updates deliberately break older saves.
Android
How do I install an APK?
Download the file, then allow installs from unknown sources for whichever app opened it (browser or file manager). Tap the APK and confirm. That permission is per-app on modern Android.
The APK will not install. What now?
The three usual causes are a partial download, a signature clash with an older build already installed, or an architecture mismatch. Re-download, uninstall the old copy, then try again.
Are Android ports official?
Sometimes. Many are community builds. When a port is unofficial, treat its save format as separate from the desktop version.
Safety
A link is dead. How do I report it?
Use the "Report Issue" button in the sidebar of any game page. Pick "Dead or broken link" and it lands in the moderation queue.
How do I get content removed?
Rights holders should use the DMCA page. Include the URL, proof of ownership and contact details, and the entry comes down.
Do you use ad-blocker-hostile file hosts?
Mirrors vary in quality. If a host is unusable, try another one on the same page and report the bad one so it gets dropped.
